What a great day!!!!

Max ready for a swimWe have come back from a fabulous day at Christopher’s and have booked in to go twice next week!

The day started badly as J and I overslept and didn’t leave home until after we were supposed to have arrived, but the traffic was good to us and Marina didn’t mind!Marina & Max in the pool When we got there we immediately got into our swimming things and into the pool. As you can see from the picture, this was a complete success! In the pool we held him gently at first on his back and then in a rubber ring on his front but the biggest success was in the ring on his back, as can be seen in the picture with Justin. He also really enjoyed the jacuzzi but all footage of that is on video.

J & Max in the pool Next was lunch, first for Massimo, then for Mum and Dad, and then a quick nap whilst Mum and Dad had coffee. Feet paintingNext we tried out the bath aid, which is fabulous, again footage of this is on video camera but hopefully we will be getting our very own to use at home. However it just means that Massimo is supported whilst in the bath so that we are hands free for suctioning and giving him oxygen, and of course playing! We had a few giggles at the start of the bath but it didn’t last long.

Sensory roomSensory room IIThen it was messy time! Unfortunately Massimo wasn’t convinced that having his hands and feet covered in paint was a fun thing but Mummy got a lovely picture for Mother’s Day. Then it was time for some relaxation in the sensory room. He enjoyed this hugely but as the room is dimly lit, the pictures aren’t as good as we would like but we hope they give you some idea.

Max in the ball pit (close up)We still had a little time left so we went to the soft play room and had some fun in the ball pit! Max in the ball pit

A cup of tea to revive us and then back home, where surprisingly Massimo did not fall asleep until he was given artificial help at 11 pm. He was so tired, yet with Sheila and then Verna looking after him, he thought that he didn’t want to miss out on whatever might be happening. He has learnt to wrap those ladies around his little finger!
